I think that 'trumpet' in the combat version is an Electronic Wind Instrument. Insaneintherainmusic liked to show that off in some of his covers, and it sounds the same to me.

The thing I really loved about the Mantis Lords fight music is the way the combat sounds add a punchy, percussive element to the elegance of the strings. Every time a Mantis Lord "thwickshed" across the arena it had a softened sort of snare drum quality to it that just seemed to fit. And also, it was unique to that track for me, but it felt like every time I swung my weapon I was subtly participating in the music. I never had that experience in a video game before and it just felt super cool and unique.

Chesed is pronounced more like "heh-sehd" than "cheh-sehd". If you're familiar with the ch sound that's found in several Middle Eastern languages - in this case Hebrew - it's that sound. As for the music giving you that "thinky" feeling, Chesed as a character represents kindness and generosity, and the setting of the game is one that strongly promotes a selfish way of thinking in the City's denizens. As a result, Chesed is one of the character who most strongly urges the PoV character, Roland, to think about his situation and those around him. Chesed has one of my favorite pieces of dialogue in the game, talking about how the most important part of trying to create change in the world around you is the fact that you'd tried in the first place - even if it doesn't work out. This also goes hand in hand with his floor being the Floor of Social Sciences, as well as the gameplay of his floor. His job in his two previous lives, and what he failed at in his first life, is caring for others and ensuring their well-being. With Library of Ruina giving him his third chance at life, his floor's gameplay reflects this theme by promoting a playstyle where you buff your characters by having other characters alive, focusing on teamwork. This is in direct contrast to his opposite, Gebura, whose theme you've already reacted to. Gebura represents judgement and justice in the harshest senses of those words, and so her theme consists of intense heavy metal, and her floor's gameplay consists of making one unit incredibly strong, with one of the most efficient ways of doing that being to directly sacrifice your other units during battle. Tiphereth, who you also reacted to, represents a mediation between the two, and has a gameplay that is an even split of both. If you go back to the Tiphereth video and look at the image, you'll notice at the bottom that one half is blue, to represent Chesed, and the other is red, to represent Gebura. And since I've already talked a bit about why Social Sciences fits in with Chesed nicely here, I'll touch a bit on Gebura and Tiphereth's floors. Gebura's is the Floor of Language, which seems ironic considering she's the only librarian out of the bunch who can't read, but she's well versed in the most universal language of all, violence. Tiphereth's is the Floor of Natural Sciences, and her character is one who deeply needs to understand the logic and reason that fuels the world she lives in. I'd go into more detail about both, but this is a video about Chesed's theme, and someone has undoubtedly already written an essay about each in their respective reaction videos already. I'll close this off by saying that the very first Library of Ruina video you did on The Reverberation Ensemble's theme, you commented on the changing backgrounds of that video. All of those backgrounds are the same ones that are present in the individual floor themes, so now that you've reacted to all of the Briah and Atziluth floors individually, it's interesting to see how you reacted to the changing backgrounds in that first video and how you react to the same backgrounds when listening to the floor themes themselves.

Gerudo valley its just like a canyon/desert area full of women and no men allowed if a men approches their town they get captured which it happened in ocarina of time and link has to go rescue them but he also get captured and he escapes too. The most critical thing frol gerudos is that one male is born every 100 years and it becomes a king and that king is ganondorf. Apology for the grammar. Lol

the game I love

Cadence of Hyrule was crazy. Got announced like 3 weeks before release and was an absolute banger. Imagine a classic 2D Zelda game with an Overworld, Dungeons, Items, Shops and Stuff, but its also a roguelite rhythm game. It's STUPID fun and has an insane soundtrack (especially with all the B-Side stuff and extras that were added later via DLC)

So far my favorite song from deltarune is "My castle town", specifically from chapter 2, though chapter 1 is good aswell

It's funny, I heard a midi version of this track in a fan made map pack for doom 2 called "Ar luminae" and I thought it was an original track written for that map pack, but it's actually from Legend of Zelda lol. That melody got stuck in my head so I instantly recognised it here

Many people don't know that the Gerudo Valley theme was originally inspired from Mido Arashi theme from Dodge Danpei as it came in 1991 and first appearance of Gerudo Valley theme was in OOT 1998

I've never played this ( I love Zelda games I just suck at Rhythm games lol) but this was a joy to listen to!

Gerudo Valley somehow passed me by, although to be fair, I only recently got into Zelda. Sounds great, especially the mariachi cover!

The Gerudo Valley Remix from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is definitely my favourite version. Also, the Gleeokenspiel boss music from Cadence of Hyrule is amazing.

If you want to know what Gerudo Valley/Desert is like, play Ocarina of Time. You really should now that you own a Switch. It is the most critically acclaimed game of all time for a very good reason. (The valley part is basically a canyon and the desert part is what you can guess, a hot sand desert. It's named after the Gerudo tribe who live there, an all-female warrior/thief tribe)

To me it sounds like this song wouldn't be out of place on U2's War album, especially with those closing guitar riffs

I have the feeling this has some slight uses of Disco Descent from Crypt of the Necrodancer as well, but I'm not 100% sure.

Cadence of Hyrule was one of the coolest and most unexpected crossovers I've ever seen. Amazing soundtrack too! There's a reason the peaceful and combat version are the same tempo - as another commenter explained, the game switches between versions dynamically. You hear the combat version while you're fighting enemies (to the beat), then once you beat the last enemy on the screen, it switches to the peaceful version. Then if you move to another screen and it has enemies, you're back to the combat version. They work together incredibly well imo

I always felt the instruments were important in this track, and all the tracks in this game. Piano is Hinako (the girl with dark hair) the violin being Yuzu (pig tailed girl) and cello being Lime (the long haired girl in the middle).

Just to give you some context since you wandered about those things in the video. Civilization game series is about you taking over as a sort of "eternal ruler" of a country; or a civilization, rather, hence the name. It is a turn based game not too different from board games mechanically, that has you rule the country since right before it founds the first settlement, through the ages, right to the modern era and a bit beyond. The game map is the whole world, except it is usually not our Earth, the map is generated. But the civilizations you control are actually the ones that we know well from our real history, and you are free to lead them in a different way than what historically happened to them. You most likely will considering the different circumstances. The first game in the series is fairly old, released in 1991, and while it had some good tracks, the style of the OST was fairly generic. In the later parts of the series the soundtrack often takes interesting and fresh ideas. For example, Baba Yetu is a Christian prayer "Our Father" translated to Swahili and arranged with various instruments, including some world music elements, I believe. It is used as a main menu theme in Civilization 4 and, in a sense, reflects much of the spirit of the Civilization of a franchise as a whole, this essence of a melting pot of various cultures and traits. The OST commonly features arrangements of various famous pieces from all over the world. Like the Zulu themes used at various stages of the game as background music when you play as Zulu being based on Zulu folk songs in Civilization 6. Or the Spanish themes from the very same Civilization 6 being based on a famous classical guitar piece "Recuerdos de la Alhambra" by Francisco Tárrega.

Tbf the OST of this game ain't bad at all, but the game as a game was a huge disappointment, and all the work put to fix this wasn't enough. This game is just a really poor, cheap copy of mechanics from other games, merely bunching them up together in ok-ish quality, with ok-ish concept and art.

The Messenger is one of the best games I've ever played in my entire life. The gameplay, humor, music, and characters are all amazing. It's the perfect video game to me. I only hope you check it out someday and play it for yourself. It really is that good!
